What is the What changed my perspective on life, and in comparison to the Sudanese, i must say we have lived very comfortable lives!
It was a real eye opener, comparing survival to our urban way of living. It made me grateful for all the things i had, from the food on my table, to the computer im using to blog as we speak. We are indeed lucky, and most of us take these things for granted.
But enough ranting about how spoiled we are.
The language used throughout the book was beautifully simplistic and real. There was no figurative language, no blemish to make something seem more than what it was. I could tell, from the first few pages, that our English, and the way we percieve the "english" language is way different than his, but he has done a good job connecting to us, through humor, through sadness, if barely touching pity.
What is the what? I believe it's what you make it.
