In 4 chapters, there is such a rich culture, described in so little words, that is oddly mystifying, yet beautiful.
Antonio, the speaker, questions his identity: to be a man of the wild, or a priest: two opposites. He is brought up by his mother to be a Catholic, but his father is a rebel, who roams the earth, free. His grandmother, Ultima, teaches him the beauty of the world and the paragon of animals, and how he must find himself and not listen to anyone else.
